Most running races reward each participant with a medal. We decided to go a different route from the first year.
We would rather invest your entry fee in quality local products than in thousands of medals produced on the other side of the world. We support the local Kollinger bakery , which is part of our community all year round.
We know from our own experience that many participants' medals end up forgotten in a box or even in the trash. We want the reward to be immediately enjoyable after the race - and meaningful at the same time.

More than 3,700 fresh cakes and 60 kg of gluten-free coconuts await you at the finish line. The sweet reward has become one of the symbols of the Klánovice 1/2 Marathon and a tradition that runners look forward to every year.
Medals have not disappeared completely in our country. They are awarded only to the fastest competitors in individual categories , because we believe that a medal should be a symbol of exceptional sporting performance.
We understand that a participant medal is a beautiful memory for many runners. However, we believe that the smell of fresh pie, the support of local entrepreneurs and the unique atmosphere at the finish line are what make the Klánovický 1/2 Marathon truly special.
